  "Overall, this was an amazingly beautiful and fabulous hotel. We had the galaxie suite which is perfect in every way but one. If there are occupants in the suite adjoining your peace and quiet will be shattered. This is because the other suite has a bathroom which adjoins the Galaxie Suite and if you are sitting in the living room part of the suite you can hear absolutely everything going on in the bathroom. It's ok if you are in the bedroom but what's the point of having a suite if you can't use the living area. Also the doors the the suites and bathrooms are these big wooden doors with brass bolts which make a huge amount of noise when used and there is no way that they can be used quietly - so if the person in the suite adjoining needs to use the bathroom in the night - it sound like someone is breaking into the hotel!! For a suite that costs £350 per night one should expect absolute peace and quiet. One other thing that was not good - we wanted to take a trip to the mountains. It was our first day and the hotel called an agency to provide a taxi. On the way, the driver asked if we would like to stop at a pottery to see them making the local pots. We said OK. Looking back we realise how completely naive we were and how this was a complete set up. We saw this guy making pots at a wheel. We then obviously had to look in the store which we stupidly thought was full of the pots he made. I was interested in a tajine and a bowl. Our driver had asked us whether we had been to the Medina yet and we had told him no. I am sure he told this guy as he said the price would be 850 dr. Having no idea of the price of these things nad little idea of the currency we asked the driver for advice. He just shrugged his shoulders. We bartered him down to 450dr - it took ages and wasted half an hour of our journey. We had been put in a difficult position where we felt obliged to but something and barter him down. Next day in the Medina we realised we could get the exact same thing in every pottery store for around 120dr. We felt violated and made fools of. The driver was obviously getting a cut and had done very well out of it. But the hotel should make sure that this sort of thing does not happen to its guests - especially to women on their own."
