Chic, sexy and easygoing, the Circa 39 Hotel is a stylish boutique hotel in soothing blue and white just one block from the beach. This 82-room hotel was built in 1939 and sits on 39th Street, hence the name. Formerly known as the Copley Plaza, it was a somewhat dilapidated Art Deco property before interior designer Patrick Kennedy reinvented it in early 2004. Everything here is fresh and playful, from the eclectic furniture in the entrance foyer to the irresistible panache of the bar just off it. Numerous designer touches—white winged sofas, rose-colored recessed lighting in the hallways, lit candles throughout—make the space simultaneously hip and soothing.

All of the rooms and suites are designed with relaxation and comfort in mind. Soothing tones of blue and white, luxury linens and soft lighting create just the right atmosphere to spoil you. The guest rooms also include one bedroom suites with kitchenettes. Friendly staff with a "can do attitude" are ready to help you tailor your stay to take in weekly events in Miami Beach and South Beach. You can also enjoy the Fit, Fit & Fitter Fitness room, Play Bar & Lounge (where guests enjoy a half-price happy hour) and the Bistro@39, which provides excellent breakfasts in the morning. Additionally, the hotel features a sociable pool area with massage cabanas and lushly padded deckchairs, and an enclosed tropical garden.

Location

Circa 39 is located in an excellent position on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach: close enough to the South Beach action for those who want to live it up, but far enough away to actually get some sleep when you want it.

"Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Juste un peu éloigné d'Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road etc. mais on y accède rapidement en bus ou taxi (10 minutes). La piscine style lounge avec transats design et lits de bain en plein Collins Avenue est très sympa. La chambre (numéro 204) est spacieuse, le lit énorme. Légèrement bruyant et lumineux la nuit. Le petit déjeuner est plus que correct avec un large choix. N&N, Madrid."

"The only problem we had in your hotel was the cost of the drinks in the bar. For one wine and one cocktail we had to pay 25 dollars. After complaining to the barkeeper surprisingly the price was lowerd to 19dollars. After that occurence we didn't trust the barkeeper."

"Vraiment un bon rapport qualité prix, si vous payer votre chambre 50$. La seul remarque c'est que soir venu, l'hotel raisonne un peu et il y a un peu de bruit, surtout si vous tomber à coté d'une chambre de fetards. Donc prévoir bouchons pour les oreilles..."
