• Chic, sexy and easygoing, the Circa 39 Hotel is a stylish boutique hotel in soothing blue and white just one block from the beach. This 82-room hotel was built in 1939 and sits on 39th Street, hence the name. Formerly known as the Copley Plaza, it was a somewhat dilapidated Art Deco property before interior designer Patrick Kennedy reinvented it in early 2004. Everything here is fresh and playful, from the eclectic furniture in the entrance foyer to the irresistible panache of the bar just off it. Numerous designer touches—white winged sofas, rose-colored recessed lighting in the hallways, lit candles throughout—make the space simultaneously hip and soothing.
