Chateau Des Comtes De Challes

A wonderful 15th century chateau set in four hectares of idyllic parkland close to Chambery and Grenoble, where you can live like a king for the weekend. The Chateau des Comtes de Challes is a fortified house with distinctive medieval towers which became a hotel in 1860. The beautiful building is enhanced by a terrace overlooking the river valley of Challes-les-Eaux, a town famous for its baths, and there's a swimming pool on the grounds where you can sunbathe during the day.

Chateau des Comtes de Challes welcomes you into rooms and suites split between three buildings. The majority of rooms are not in the main chateau building, but all have plush, individual decoration along the same lines as the chateau, and wonderful views of the countryside. Four-poster beds, whirlpool baths, and hydrojet showers in certain rooms add a more luxurious edge. From breakfast to dinner, you can enjoy the warm and cosy setting of the gourmet restaurant, complete with a marvellous fireplace.

Chateau des Comtes de Challes is situated in Challes les Eaux on the outskirts of Chambéry, the capital of the Savoy region. The metropolitan area has more than 100,000 inhabitants and extends from the vineyard slopes of the Combe de Savoie (Savoy Valley), almost to the shores of the Lac du Bourget, the largest natural lake in France. The city is a major railroad hub, at the mid-point of the Franco-Italian "Lyon-Turin Ferroviaire" rail link.
