Intoxicatingly ornate in period style, the Bauer il Palazzo drips classic décor, all within the centre of Venice. With an atmosphere of a sophisticated, rich home, the hotel is decorated in intricate detail from floor to ceiling, including detailed gold embossed wallpaper, antique Venetian panels, elaborate antique furniture, and of course the requisite chandeliers. Outside you will find a stunning Gothic façade facing onto the Grand Canal, really the perfect landing for those wishing to visit the city in style.
Rooms are individually decorated and leave no detail undone: embossed wallpaper, grand beds some with canopies, ornate mirrors, baroque frames and gold details all vie for attention. From the balconies or terraces you can enjoy spectacular views of Venice, the Grand Canal and St. Mark’s Basin. The gourmet restaurant, De Pisis, also benefits from great views over the Grand Canal, as well as great food by chef Giovanni Ciresa. The lounge on the 7th floor, Settimo Cielo, boasts wonderful terrace and spectacular views over the city and the lagoon, and is where breakfast is served. For another ambiance in which to enjoy a drink, the B Bar Lounge serves drinks as well as buffet style snacks. For keeping in shape there is a fitness centre at the hotel, and for pure decedent relaxation, an open air Jacuzzi on the 8th floor with spectacular vistas.
Location
Il Palazzo is just steps from St Mark's Square, and is close to Venice's finest shops, museums and sights. It is accessible by water taxi: Marco Polo International Airport is 40 minutes away, while the car parking is 15 minutes away.

"Descriptions of the views from the rooms are misleading both on your website and the hotel's own site. however the hotel did try and satisfy us and we finally settled on the 4th room we were shown although this did noyt have the view I had originally hoped for."
