Originally opened as a Jewish-owned guesthouse in 1922, the hotel has enjoyed a revival with a complete renovation, bringing the hotel up to today’s expectations while keeping some of the original aspects, not least, the name ‘Spatz’, which is the name of the of the original proprietors. The beautiful building is of neoclassical design, painted lemon yellow with a red roof. Inside it is all cream walls and grey marble floors, chocolate wooden staircases and doors, and pretty alcoves decorated with fresh flowers and clever lighting. The overall effect is polished, modern and immaculate.
